How To Get Free Home Energy

January 19, 2009 · Filed Under Home Power Generation

Free home energy is not just an impossible dream or a foolish wish of idealists and the miserly. It is an achievable goal. Home solar power and wind power system are the keys. Geothermal and biomass systems, though not as common, is also an option for free energy at home. All these can also be used together as a free energy home generator.

Of all 4, home solar power energy is the most popular. Harnessing the sun’s heat and converting it into power for our electricity and hot water needs is becoming a popular alternative to the conventional fossil fuel energy sources. Solar panels can be easily installed on the roof of residences, and even hooked up to a local power grid.

Wind power is not as popular in urban areas, but can be seen in places called wind farms. These are locations with strong wind and nothing to obstruct these winds from blowing into a wind turbine. They are usually in elevated areas where the winds are stronger.

Geothermal systems can be installed on the ground before house construction starts. It harnesses heat from under the earth and converts it to electricity. Biomass uses organic waste matter and converts it into fuel.

Aside from the fact that they are free, these methods are also green. We will be practicing ecologically sound principles when we opt to use these alternative energy sources. Our energy efficient homes will not be contributing to the world’s air pollution, noise pollution, and fossil fuel consumption. Living in a green energy home means saving electricity and thereby money for you, and saving the earth for everybody’s children.
